Siavash Abghari is currently a Professor of Finance and Director of Finance Program at Morehouse College in Atlanta. He has taught at University of Georgia, Emory University and West Georgia University. He is a human rights activist, campaigning for human rights and democracy in Iran and the Middle East. He is the founder and President of the Esmail Khoi Foundation, a nonprofit cultural organization established in the United States in 2001.
Behzad Compani, One of the five founders of the Persian Community Center 28 years ago. He is a Certified Public Accountant and also a Chartered Accountant. He has a Master of Accountancy and the Author of : Neurolegislation: Neuro-Tax-Law and Tax Stress. He teaches Art and Accountancy and believe in the promotion of Iranian Cultural Programs, Science program, Programs for the Elderly and young Iranians. He would like to plan Programs for people's special needs and charities. His goal is to increase Kanoon's revenue to $1,000,000 in five years
Hamid Garmestani, faculty since 1991, is a Professor of Materials Science and Engineering at Georgia Institute of Technology and a Fellow of the American Society of Materials (ASM International) and American Society of Mechanical Engineering (ASME). He has been a member of board of directors from 2009 until 2016 and has been in the advisory board of Kanoon since 2016.
Shahryar Heydari is the Associate Vice President of Information Technology at Piedmont College. Dr. Heydari is also a professor of Mathematics at Piedmont. He serves as the faculty advisor for the international students. He served as a member of the Board of Directors at the Persian Cultural Center of Atlanta from 2010-2016 and has been serving as a member of the board of advisors since then.
Dee (Daryoosh) Roodehchi was born in Tehran and raised in Tabriz, Iran. He came to the US in 1972 when he was 15 years old. He has lived in the metro Atlanta area since. He works in remodeling and construction, and owns 3 businesses . He has been married to his wife Soheila for over 25 years and has a pair of 22 year old twins, Sahar and Saam.
Shahram Zaboli is a retired petroleum engineer. He obtained his graduate degree from the University of Louisiana in 1983. He is currently the CEO of AIS Investment, Inc. When he is not glued to his iPhone playing backgammon online, he spends his time in nature taking photographs. He is also a self-taught artist who is passionate about his abstract paintings. For him painting is more than a hobby, it is therapy.
